About the French 75
Was created in the WWI era in Paris and named after the “French 75” canon
that gave the French an advantage over the German’s in that war. It was brought “over here” from “over there”
by returning dough boys and popularized in the states especially at swanky places like NY’s Stork Club in the 20’s
It’s a classic for a reason.

About Domaine Karanika Brut Sparkling Wine from Greece
Karanika is a winery in the far northwest corner of Greece known for it’s Xinomavro whick makes
great reds and subtle Champagne style wines like this one. Their priniciple white is
Assyrtiko and the also produce a Greek red call Limniona as well as Cabernet Sauvignon.
The climate is what I’d call continental rather than the hotter Mediterranean climate of
the south and the islands.

thoroughly stir all ingredients in an old fashioned glass with ice. Garnish with lemon peel

Ingredients:

1 1/2 oz  gin

3/4 oz Cocchi Americano

3/4 oz Vermut De Muller Iris Blanco

About the white negroni
This is a twist on the classic negroni cocktail. Originally it was made with gin, sweet (red) vermouth and Campari which
is a bitter aperitif and also red. Our white version is gin based with the Cocchi in place of Campari and the DeMuller (sweet, white) Vermut in place
of the sweet (red) vermouth. To me a good Negroni is a sign of a good bar. Not all bars make good Negronis.

About DeMuller Spanish Vermut
De Muller Vermouths have been made using the same recipe since their founding, almost 70 years ago.
Over 150 botanicals are used, many of which are native to the winery’s Mediterranean setting.
The winery is located in Reus, near the coast of the Mediterranean and the heart of Spanish vermouth.
Their wines are made with a base of white wine, infused with 150 botanicals.
The recipe includes cinnamon, orange peel, chamomile, rosemary, ginger, oregano & vanilla.
