Coffee Pot Cellars Sauvignon Blanc North Fork of Long Island White Wine

Rated 89 Points from Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate! (June 2015)

The 2012 Sauvignon Blanc is unoaked and sourced from Osprey’s Dominion Vineyards. Tightly wound and abit brooding for unoaked Sauvignon, this very focused Sauvignon is aging beautifully. Not particularly grassy, it does have more serious green nuances in the background, with a touch of broccoli, but just a touch. Fresh, crisp and reasonably concentrated, this is in fine shape for its age (considering how many producers make light, drink-me-now-or-else Sauvignons) and should continue to hold well, but let’s exercise a little caution and don’t hesitate to dive in. There were 168 cases produced. Drink: 2015-2017.

This winery is owned by winemaker Adam Suprenant, who also makes wine for Osprey’s Dominion (since 2001). The first wines were released in 2011 and a tasting room opened in 2013 in Cutchogue. He has prior experience at Franciscan in Napa and is a UC Davis grad." – Robert Parker, June 2015
