100% Pinot Noir sourced from the Victoria region of South-Eastern Australia. The wine was aged in French oak Hogsheads for 7 months adding complexity and structure, but the fruit remains the focal point.

"A productive vintage with excellent conditions throughout the summer. A warm period at the end of harvest delivered a range of maturity levels across the components which contributed to complexity and structure. A light, bright and fresh Pinot Noir, well structured with savory, complex characters and nice texture. Rich plum, red berries, beetroot and herbal notes on the nose, with berries and rosemary following on the palate. Subtle, sweet dark fruit, toasty oak and fruit of the forest." -The Importer

"South Australia was hit by a heat wave mid vintage in 2008 which sent alarm bells ringing through the South Australian wine industry. The heat wave proved very advantageous to R Wines, providing wines which are big, rich, ripe and jammy—iconic attributes of R Wines. Brick red, with pink hues. Sweet, boiled lollies, confectionary nose, some cinnamon spice. This follows onto the palate, with some juby, creamy, confectionary flavors. Good weight and length on finish." -The Importer

"100% Shiraz (85% Barossa Valley, 15% Langhorne Creek) of which 60% was aged in two and three year-old American hogshead barrels. This wine is like a classic Barossa Shiraz with a steroid injection. Lifted and ripe blackberry jam and kirsch aromas, complexed with oak chocolate characters. The palate has a rich smooth texture of black fruit and plums finishing with licorice and soft tannins." -The Importer

"The pricier 2007 Boarding Pass First Class Shiraz was aged for 18 months in French and American oak. It exhibits a glass-coating opaque purple color, an expressive nose of smoke, lavender, bacon, and licorice leading to a structured, slightly lean Shiraz that should evolve for 2-3 years and will hopefully fill out its frame." -Jay Miller
