2003 was a dry year on California's Central Coast and cool, overcast spring weather forced the early flowering Pinot Noir vines to set a light crop. Much warmer than normal summer temperatures with minimal fog and abundant sunshine encouraged full ripening and flavor development which is displayed in this supple, stylish wine. Full of black cherry, raspberry and purple plum fruit complemented by French oak barrel aging this smooth, elegant wine will be at its best from not to the next three to four years.
